Perla Batalla (born in Los Angeles, California) is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter. Educated at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, Batalla did vocal work in film and television before becoming a backing vocalist for Leonard Cohen. She subsequently released her first solo album in 1993, and continued to write and perform her own material.
