Philip Sanderson first began releasing music in the late 1970s under a variety of band names and pseudonyms including: Storm Bugs (a project which often involved collaboration with Steven Ball), Vote Police, Ice Yacht and, Claire Thomas & Susan Vezey. During this period Philip also ran Snatch Tapes on of the first DIY Cassette labels.
