"Pictures Like This" were formed in 1979 by Nik Philpot (vocals and bass), Paul Nunneley (synths), Daniel Tee (lead guitar) and Keith Groves (drums). Based in the Guildford area the group were an active member of the flourishing Surrey music scene centred on the Wooden Bridge pub in Guildford that had spawned acts such as The Jam, The Vapours, The Drowning Craze and Disruptive Patterns.
