Straight out of Indianapolis, Indiana, Pop Lolita formed in late 2000. The band consisted of Jon Harmon (guitar, vox), Mike Contreras (vox, guitar), Andrew Mahoney (bass), Amber Lynch (vox, tambourine), and Dave Megyesi (drums).
