In 2003 a set of solo lo-fi recordings by vocalist/guitarist Iain Beggs was picked up by Herotech management. This led to the subsequent formation of a full live outfit, the potential of which was finally realised when a complex web of coincidental relationships brought in Matt Brown on guitar, Tim Rooney on Bass and Clint Henderson on a (left-handed) drum kit.
