Xerath vocalist Richard Thomson has launched the Progressive Rock project "Primer", including Xerath guitarist Owain Williams and Xerath drummer Michael Pitman. Primer's musical influences are drawn from a wide range of musical genre's and artists including Frank Zappa, Rush, YES, Porcupine Tree, Riverside and Opeth.
