Profondo Rosso were a 3-piece indie/punk/rock band from Sunderland, N.E. England. Formed in 1992 and taking their moniker from the Italian slashflick directed by Dario Argento, the original lineup comprised John Savage, Duncan Garvey and Graeme Watson. Early influences included Swervedriver, Manic Street Preachers, The Sex Pistols, Jane's Addiction, The Stone Roses, Suede, The Who and Ned's Atomic Dustbin to name but a few.
