Psicotropia was born in Madrid in the summer of 1999, with the purpose of working on a experimental and avant-garde musical trend, as an alternative to the current stagnation of ideas and values in the world of rock. They began covering King Crimson and composing their own first songs. On July 7th 2000, Psicotropia presented their one-year work in a show at Siroco in Madrid, with a resounding success among critics and audience.
