Rang De Basanti (Paint it Saffron) is a 2006 Hindi film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Parts of the film are inspired by story of Flight Lt. Abhijit Gadgil who died while training in a MiG-21. Though well received by most for it's social message and entertainment quotient, the film sparked off debate due to it's controversial climax. A.R.
