A New Orleans native, Reed Lightfoot started his performing career in early 2003 as bassist for the hard rock band Sole Element. After leaving the group in 2004, he began writing songs on his own, and performing them around various open mics in the New Orleans area. His aggressive gigging in the area built a fan base rather quickly, catapulting him from acoustic sets in low-key coffee houses, to acoustic sets in large venues such as Tipitina’s Uptown.
