Richie Loidl, born 1967, comes from Bad Ischl, in the Wolfgangsee area of the Salzkammergut region, Austria, where he became classical piano lessons from age 8 to 14, with very negative results. Primarily in 1986, at age 18, he learned to really play the piano, during a graduation summer course as bartender at the Hotel Schloss Seefels on the Woerthersee.
