Rockhead were a hard rock band with pop overtones formed and named after successful music producer/musician Bob Rock. Guitarist Bob Rock and drummer Chris Taylor played together in new wave bands Payola$ and Rock N'Hyde, before the later disbanded in 1989. Rock decided to pursue a production career and worked with bands such as Motley Crue, Cher and Metallica, but he continued to keep in touch with Taylor and never lost his desire to write music and perform.
