Rockurd was formed as the first Kurdish rock band in Mahabad in 2001. “Far Away City”, band’s first album with an introspective point of view combining Alternative rock and Space rock elements was recorded in 2003 at Rockurd’s private studio. It is worth noting that all our attempts in order to get the license of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran back those days was totally inconclusive.
