From 1984 until today has composed and played Latin American roots and fusion music, contemporary music, and new tango or tango-jazz. He also create diverse groups, like “Rodrigo Ratier Trio” (1985), “Vallegrande” (1987), “Atuel” (1989), "La Puerta del Vino" (1994), "Sur" (2002), and "Rodrigo Ratier Quintet" (2005).
