Rolf Thorstein Smedvig (September 23, 1952 – April 27, 2015) was an American classical trumpeter. He was the founder of the Empire Brass Quintet.[1] [2] He is renowned for his velvet pure tone and accurate intonation. Rolf Smedvig was born in Seattle, Washington.
