Russian Love was founded in 1986 in the countryside of northern Finland, in Haapavesi. The band started out as a goth group with strong influence from bands like Joy Division and Bauhaus. After two gothic rock / dark wave albums, "Negral" (1988) and "Flaw In The Cradle" (1990), and moving to the city of Oulu their music started to catch more color.
