Shady Characters is a Los Angeles-based indie rock band started in late 2010, when vocalist Lucia Fasano and guitarist Kyle McCormick recorded an acoustic bedroom EP and released it to the internet. By early 2011, keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Brittany Scheffler and drummer Scott Shipman had joined, and they began prepping a full-length with producer Kasey Clark at Punk Tree Records.
