Sidi Brahim (Mark I) founded 1979, with its unique "Kruste Sound" had many local successes in Basel and the surrounding area. They were for example virtually the house band in the (unfortunately) very short-lived Basel AJZ. Their biggest success was the concert at the Peace Festival 1980 in Wenkenhof (Horse Riding Hall) in Riehen, where they played on Saturday night as the last band and brought the hall to a boil.
