The Slaughtertown String Band was formed in Chicago in 2007 by guitarist Michael Schwartz and multi-instrumentalist Randy Mollner (Head of Femur, The Black Dahlias) with the brilliant idea that playing Hot Club style Gypsy Jazz for rich people at their private parties was a great way to make tons of money while still having a good time playing music they loved.
