Smith Perkins Smith was a short-lived American country-rock band of the early 1970s. The trio included guitarist and singer Wayne Perkins, together with Tim Smith and Steve Smith. The trio recorded two albums, but only the first was released (in 1972). Wayne Perkins went on to be a successful session musician and had stints with Leon Russell's Shelter People and the Gap Band.
