Kansas City's Soft Reeds is the new project from Chicago native turned Kansas City transplant Ben Grimes. After spending six years fronting indie rockers The Golden Republic, who released a self-titled full-length and an EP called "People" in 2005 on Astralwerks/Capitol Records, Grimes found himself in Nashville, TN looking for some new creative outlets… preferably not involving music.
