a band so scared of naming its influences it's daunting to write anything at all. after being cornered with a pitchfork for a definition of their eclectic sound, the tag 'post noise rock' surfaced, which is pretty damn accurate i guess, but it doesn't touch on the prog these guys have going. off-the-wall changes, skewed time signatures and double guitar passages just scream the obvious. however, the songs stay short (never over 5 minutes), instrumental masturbation in the form of solos and similar symptoms of cockiness are refreshingly absent. ...read more
