Somegirl formed in the fall of 2000 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Stephen Mork, an electronic musician of some 10 years, placed an ad for a female vocalist looking to form a songwriting duo. Kristin Buckman responded and in short-order Somegirl was formed.
