from the myspace page: Sona Fariq formed in East London in 1997. In 1999 the band signed to WEA records. One album entitled SONA FARIQ was released on WEA in 2000 to mass critical acclaim. The album was followed by rigorous touring throughout the UK and the European continent, further consolidating Sona's second-to-none live reputation.
