Spöön Fazer began as an avant-garde punk band in 1978 after seeing Frank Zappa, but devolved into a solo project for Simon Patterson who was known for playing his drums with spoons. Like Ziggy Stardust to David Bowie and Fad Gadget to Frank Tovey, Spöön Fazer was the stagename/alter-ego of England's Simon Patterson.
