The band was established in 1999 under the initial name of "Bad Joke" with a line-up comprising Dzanan, Cane, and Haris S. The band changed its name to "Spanish Flyz" in 2001 after Haris S leaves to further his studies in the US. The band then reunites under a new line-up consisting of Cane on vocals, Dzanan on lead guitar, Haris H on the drums, and Zlaja on the bass.
