Spirit Matter was formed in the year of 1986 when latin hip hop was at it's hottest soon to be dubbed freestyle music. Formerly of the hip hop group Death City Boyz two of the members Andrew Welsh on lead vocals and Fareed Abdallah aka Reed on keyboards and backup vocals co-wrote the hit single entitled "Crimes Of Passion" and wrote and produced the club smash "Betrayal".
