Pape Seck, Ibra Kasse (founding members and late 50s are all natives of the Cape-Vert region now divided into Dakar & Rufisque. One of West Africa's earlier bands whose success and focus was primarily an imitation of Afro-Cuban beats which dominated the dance scene until the mid-eighties in Senegal.
