Stephan Diez (February 5, 2017 ) was a German jazz and fusion guitarist. Diez was born in Berlin, Germany and grew up in Berlin-Zehlendorf. He visited the summer jazz course in Remscheid in 1969, played in the Krautrock band Agitation Free in 1973 and also performed with Jazztrack. In 1974 he became a member of Harald Banters Mediaband. In 1975 and 1976 he played in the Chris Hinze Combination .
