Strop (The Ceiling) is a band from Prievidza, Slovakia. It was established around 1990/1991 and heavily influenced by punk rock, they recorded their first demo tape simply called "Bez názvu" (Untitled). In 1994, second demo is recorded uder the name "Pešiaci" (Footmen). Afterwards the personnel has changed, when Disident and Avidyá leaved, and the new line-up listed: Braňo Homola (guitar, vocals), Jozef Paulík (guitar and backing vocals), Michal Valach (drums), and Juraj Valach (bass).
