Born in Trabzon in 1962, Sunay Akin is one of the most popular contemporary poets of Turkey. His first poems were first published in 1984. After graduating from Istanbul University, he has published two poetry magazines, Yaprak – Leaf in 1984 and Olmaz – Impossible in 1990.
