Surface Area is multi-instrumentalist Pete Davis of Pete Davis (http://petedavis.bandcamp.com) and Invalids (http://invalids.bandcamp.com), and drummer Jon Lervold (http://www.jlvaudio.com). Pete wrote all the music between 2001 and 2004 when he was in high school. The songs were originally recorded entirely by Pete in "The Side Yard" demo. Then in 2011 Pete enlisted the help of Jon Lervold on drums, and re-recorded the album from the ground up.
