Taishan began as a studio engineer in London, working with the likes of Genacide II, Tony Thorpe, Stereo MC’s and Clyde Stubblefield. His first release 'Shinjuku Drop' came out on Resin Records in 2002 and took the scene by surprise, garnering massive support by the likes of Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty and the Plumps.
