Calgary-based musician Metalmaester started the act in 2007 with a few industrial music covers, sound experimentation and local noise show performances but did not produce anything major until 3 years later. In 2010, Tekhnotron was fully active and working on music material, until, keyboardist Josh Krahn joined the project. He has played at live shows and contributed to songwriting in the studio.
