UK punk dub band. The AK 47's members were squatters in Newcastle, UK in the early 80s. The Newcastle anarcho scene was centered around the 'station' venue (a squatted building on the quay). AK47's soon moved down to Hackney and were lumped in with the whole London crusty squat scene because of their ska-punk sound, although they were much closer to bands like community charge, Radical Dance Faction, AOS3, Rhythm-ites, Culture Shock, etc in spirit.
