The Ammonites were a jangly/twee indie pop group from Leicester, United Kingdom, that formed in 1987. After a string of 4-Track recordings on the Rutland Records signature tape format, the band eventually released a 7" single E.P. Head Full Of Strange on vinyl by Rutland Records in 1991, engineered/produced by Alan Jenkins of The Deep Freeze Mice and Ruth’s Refrigerator fame.
