Arising from previous bands, the members of The Astonics came together in the summer of 2008 in Groningen, The Netherlands. Marco de Vries (guitar and vocals) and Klaas Groen (bass and vocals) founded The Astonics. Floor Groot (keys) and Jos Huese (drums) joined them later on.
