The Bon Bon Club first started about 2 years ago, when The Long Blondes rhythm section decided to break away and have a go on their own. They gave themselves the names Sushi Quatro and Thirsty Moore, and covered songs they liked, playing only bass and drums. In 2007 they recorded 3 songs with Alan Smyth, and a new band member Chapatti Smith came on board, providing extra vox and percussion.
