After the breakup of punk-pop group Weston, former member James Alex formed the Cordova Academy Glee Club in Philadelphia. Comprised of Alex, Matthew George, Philip James, and Mark David, the group derives its sound from influences such as the Pixies, Magnetic Fields, Superchunk, and Bloc Party.
