The Great Wide Open's lyrics & chords

The band is formed around stringed instruments and foot percussion, with roots in tradition folk music and early rock and roll. Founded on a back porch in the summer of 2013 by two longtime friends, Jake Sims and Travis Runyon. The two started with a small hand-full of song ideas written by Jake and turned them into an EP "Blue Skies and Sun Rays" with their first single and music video for the song "Ohio", written about summer romance and heartbreak.
