There are at least two bands known as The Idea: 1. The Idea was a jangle pop band quite similar to such contemporaries as Pop Art and Happydeadmen. With harmonies, smooth chiming guitars, clever lyrics and an unmatched knack for melodies they released a pop masterpiece called "Sideways Smile" in the year of 1992. 2.
