Originally known as Stirling And Leggett, The Joe Kings was started by Jack Stirling and Phill Leggett, two energetic young lads with a thirst for blues and rock, who first met in May 2008 at a music store in Perth. The boys immediately recognised a shared interest in similar blues, soul and rock musicians and singers of the past and present, such as Cream, Jeff Beck, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Sam Cooke, Rory Gallagher and Free.
