The Minor Canon began as Paul Larson's "solo project". Larson was a member of the band Strictly Ballroom - a group that also included Jimmy Tamborello (Postal service/Figurine/Dntel), Chris Gunst (Beachwood Sparks/Mystic Chords of Memory) and Jimi Hay (Rapture/All night radio/Tristeza).
