Ben and Travis are friends from the elementary school enrichment program. They met Zach in high school. Ben and Zach made music together, back before Ben could play an instrument and Zach had a pending record contract with Sony to be a Hip-Hop producer. They recorded their first song in Ben's house during the summer of 2003. Moonintes music has been featured in several video art pieces by their friend and collaborator Judge Dylan, as well as on Cartoon Network's Aqua Teen Hunger Force (see episode titled "the cubing.")
