The Peppermint Apes started out in August 2008 as Ryan Stanton put together an acoustic set of songs as support for the fantastic Marc Bolan Tribute TooREX, at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon. Ryan, asked a few of his close friends to help him put the show together. They had two weeks notice to rehearse up a set for the gig.
