The Pettyfords were formed in the summer of 1996 by Roy Murakami, Cavan Nohara and Jeremy Rhode. Three bored high school kids with a passion for the same thing: Pop punk music. Countless hours were spent in drummer, Roy Murakami's, living room trying to fine tune some songs before the school year began.
