The Seedy Arkhestra was a project formed by Chris Dowd after leaving ska-punk-reggae-rock band Fishbone in the mid 90s. Dowd composed all the band's material (with Jeff Buckley garnering a co-writing credit on Despite The Tears) and gathered a number of musicians, including Jeff, Matt Johnson, N'dea Davenport, and Don Byron to join him in the studio.
