The T.S.U. Toronados, alternately known as the TSU Tornadoes or the TSU Toronadoes, was a soul/funk/rnb combo. Guitarist and vocalist Cal Thomas formed the band at Texas Southern University, which gave the group its name. It achieved some commercial success in the early 70s and late 60s, working for the seminal Stax/Volt label.
