The Ventriloquist Mute was born from a top secret government experiment that was meant to test the feasibility of organically amplifying human vocal cords for sonic weaponry. Although the concept was successfully implemented, the long term effects were not fully anticipated: over time the Ventriloquist's vocal cords were left irreversibly damaged.
