The Writers came together due to mutual friendships and a common interest in different music styles, in November 2007. Paul and Ian were the initial founders of the then The Cardboard Cut-outs. A few days after, the band had found their bassist, Jack, this was Jacks first time playing bass and proved to be up to the challenge.
